Lindau

at Lake Constance

Lindau is situated (on a peninsula) at Lake Constance. Therefore this Allgäu town has everything: mountains for hiking and skiing adventures as well as a lake which is the biggest one in Germany, offering plenty of tourist attractions around.
The town itself has a lovely old town and interseting sights.
The peninsula of Lake Constance is the perfect starting point for daily visits for example to the famous Mainau island with its impressing flower arrangements and castle.
