The Capital of the German Federal State of Bavaria

The capital of German Federal State of Bavaria has a population of 1.3 million and makes it thus the third largest city of Germany.
Located on the River Isar and north of the Bavarian Alps, Munich is a charming city with many impressing and significant sights like the Hofbräuhaus, Marienplatz
or the Frauenkirche. Furthermore, its cultural traditions like the Okoberfest, make Munich a town one of a kind and therefore one of Europe's most prosperous
places. Munich is known as "die Weltstadt mit Herz" (world city with a heart). There are many interesting, funny, charming and impressing people, sights and things, Munich and Bavaria are famous for. The landmark of Munich for example is "die Frauenkirche".

The Frauenkirche

The Cathedral Church of our Lady is the highest church in Munich and thus an elementary part of Munich's skyline. The Roman-Catholic church of the 15th century is also the church of the Archbishopric of Munich-Freising. All this makes the imposing tourist attraction not only the town's but also Bavaria's landmark.
